LAKEPORT, Calif. – Young Tucker Murray took first place in the Main Street Trick or Treat costume contest on Oct. 31 in his convincing frontiersman outfit.
Second place went to Greyson Wind as the late, great Michael Jackson, and the Sherman Family (Holly, Nathaniel, Cierrah, Elianna, Stone and Deacon) took third place as the Scooby Doo cartoon characters, complete with the Mystery Machine.
The Lakeport Main Street Association said thanks goes to Lee’s Sporting Goods for the trophies and Amber Sheridan of Muse Photos for the prize winner pictures, as well as to Angelina’s Bakery & Espresso, Main Street Pizza, Your One Stop Party Shop and Skip’s Sweet Shoppe for prizes, and Flowers by Jackie for the balloons.
Appreciation also is iven to the 41 participating businesses who were ready to greet an estimated 700 Trick or Treaters with candy, balloons and a haunted theater.

LUCERNE, Calif. – Lucerne FLOW will hold its monthly meeting at the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center located at 3985 Country Club Drive in Lucerne on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Pregathering starts at 11 a.m., with the meeting beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Items on the agenda include the future of Lucerne FLOW and the Lucerne Community Water Organization, the group's sister project.
