LAKEPORT, Calif. – A seminar titled “Save Your Home” will be hosted on Saturday, Jan. 15, in Lakeport.


It will begin at 10 a.m. at Konocti Realty, 601 N. Forbes St.

FORT BRAGG, Calif. – The Green Party of Lake County will meet in Mendocino County on Sunday, Jan. 16.


The meeting will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Redwood Coast Senior Center on N. Harold Street.


The Lake County group has been invited to join the Mendocino Greens' meeting that day. There will be other activist groups there to network with as well.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – “The Philadelphia Lawyer,” with Lower Lake attorney Ron Green, airs from 10:30 a.m. to 11a.m. every Wednesday during Steve and Catherine Elias’ Lake County Magazine radio show on KPFZ 88.1 FM.


Green discusses a wide range of legal and political news, issues and cases.


On Jan. 12, a discussion of Megan’s Law will begin, and will probably be completed on the Jan. 19 show.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County Animal Care and Control and Dr. Jeff Smith of Middletown Animal Hospital will host a low-cost vaccination clinic on Sunday, Jan. 23.


The clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the county animal shelter, 4949 Helbush in Lakeport. From Highway 29, take the Hill Road Exit and head north toward Sutter Lakeside Hospital. Follow the Animal Care and Control signs.


For dogs, shots will cost $6 for rabies, $12 for DHLPP, $8 for Corona, $15 for kennel cough, $25 for rattlesnake vaccine and $31 for microchips.


For cat, rabies shots cost $6, FELV and FVRCP are each $17, kennel cough is $15 and microchips are $31.


All sales are cash only.


Please be sure to have your dogs on a leash and cats in an appropriate carrier.


All rabies certificates will be good for one year unless proof of a prior rabies vaccination can be provided.

UKIAH, Calif. – Mendo Lake District Garden Club welcomes members and guests to attend the winter meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 26.


Hosting club is the Ukiah Garden, Ukiah Garden Clubhouse, 1203 West Clay St.


Registration and coffee hour starts at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting time is 10:30 a.m.

COBB, Calif. – The next scheduled public meeting with Bottle Rock Power LLC will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18.


The meeting will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the plant's conference room, 7385 High Valley Road, Cobb.


Bottle Rock Power LLC will present an update on the project and progress on several items of interest to the community and regulatory partners.
