Officials offer precautions to prevent chimney fires

As temperatures fall and you spend more time indoors in front of the fireplace, the last thing you want to think about is the condition of your chimney. Dirty chimneys can cause chimney fires, which damage or destroy homes and injure people.

First virtual R3C adoption finds good homes for saddle-trained wild horses

ELK GROVE, Calif. – All available saddle-trained wild horses were adopted at the first virtual event hosted by the Bureau of Land Management and the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, or R3C, in Elk Grove.

Sen. Dodd begins second term, introduces new power shutoff bill

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, was sworn into office on Monday after winning his second four-year term and announced new legislation to improve conditions in California during wildfire-related utility power shutoffs such as those this fall from PG&E.
