Today’s vote is a step toward ensuring low-income customers get the help they need to keep the tap open. I thank my Senate colleagues for supporting this measure.”

May 31, which happens to be Memorial Day this year, is also National Dam Safety Awareness Day and a good reminder for those living, working or visiting downstream of dams to have an evacuation plan in place and be able to recognize signs of a potential dam-related emergency.
