CLEARLAKE – Sam Pollo and his staff at the Main Street Bar and Grill have graciously agreed to again host a fundraiser for Lake County Special Olympics.
The event will be a Tip-A-Cop and take place on Friday, June 18, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Members of the Clearlake Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Lake County Sheriff's Office and Lake County Probation Department will serve breakfast and lunch to the patrons of the Main Street Bar and Grill.
Tips received by officers will go toward Lake County Special Olympics.
Lake County Special Olympics is a year-round program that serves more than 100 disabled athletes.
The program cost $20,000 annually and is run completely by volunteers. The money is used for uniforms, equipment and transportation.
All money must be raised locally with no aid from governmental entities.
A special thanks is offered to Supervisor Jeff Smith who has kicked off our Clearlake fundraising by donating $220 of his county stipend.
Come meet members of our local law enforcement and correctional agencies as they serve you breakfast or lunch.
