LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Lake County Wine Studio (LCWS) is hosting a July wine tasting event featuring new Glamazon wine releases from Robinson Lake Vineyard with vineyard manager, Jonathan Walters, and artist reception with paintings by Jeanne Lamar.
The reception will take place on Friday, July 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, July 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The musical guest during the evening receptions will be acoustic guitarist Carey Robinson.
Artist Jeanne Lamar has decades of experience as an artist and has developed personal techniques in several media to suit her particular needs.
By shifting from watercolor to pastels, acrylics or oils she can always maintain an excitement in her work.
Unabashedly in love with color and composition, she takes her time creating compositions that are just a little “over the edge.” She wants her works to command a second look and be of continuing interest to the viewer.
Colorado was Lamar’s home for 28 years where she was a teacher and a juror, and in 2000 she returned to her native California.
She has studied at the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach, the Pasadena School of Fine Art, and with other influential artists, including Robert Brackman of Art Students’ League, New York.
Lamar’s works have been added to numerous corporate and private collections and her participation in hundreds of exhibitions and shows from coast to coast have resulted in best of show, honorable mentions and many other awards.

Current memberships include the California Watercolor Association (Signature Member), the Colorado Watercolor Society (Signature Member), the American Watercolor Society, the Watercolor Association of Sonoma County, the Santa Rosa Arts Guild and the Upstairs Gallery in Healdsburg, where additional work may be seen.
The $12.50 ($10/per person for studio club members) wine sampler with paired appetizers will feature Glamazon 2009 Sauvignon-Semillon Blend with herbed chevré on crostini, 2011 Chardonnay with sage and white bean pureé on sea salted chip, 2009 Merlot with smoked chicken and cherry barbecue sauce and 2010 Petite Sirah with an “upscale” trail mix. Appetizers by Cache Creek Catering.
There is no charge to those who wish to view the artwork and meet the artists without partaking of the food and wine. Reservations are not required.
Lake County Wine Studio is both a gallery for display of arts and a tasting room, wine bar and retail shop for the fine wines of Lake County. Artists' shows are held on a monthly basis with art and wine receptions held the first Friday and subsequent Saturday of each month.
