Post Wildfire OHV Recovery Alliance seeks comment on OHV grant applications

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – The Post Wildfire OHV Recovery Alliance, or PWORA, is asking for public input for potential OHV grants proposals to the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation, or OHMVR, Division for areas on the Mendocino National Forest that were impacted by the 2018 Ranch fire.

Sen. Dodd introduces power shutoff generator bill

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa announced new legislation to ensure critical facilities such as hospitals, fire stations and water treatment plants can operate during wildfire-inspired electric power shutoffs such as those used last year by Pacific Gas & Electric Co.

County Roadside Weed Abatement Program set to begin

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Department of Public Works, or DPW, will soon be starting its annual Roadside Weed Abatement Program through the application of herbicides along certain county-maintained roads.
