LAKEPORT, Calif. – The sixth annual Shred Fest 2015 and ID theft seminar that was held on Monday, April 27, was a huge success that provided an opportunity for community members to securely destroy their documents free of charge and also learn about protecting themselves from identity theft.

This annual community service event sponsored in partnership with Strong Financial Network and Umpqua Bank produced 7,180 pounds of shredded paper that was shredded on site by the Info Shred truck.

It is estimated that number of trees saved during this event is in excess of 86.

A huge thank you to Craig Woodworth, chief investigator with the Lake County District Attorney’s Office, for speaking at this event and providing attendees with informative tips for ID theft protection.

Stay tuned for next year’s event that will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016.
