LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Harry and Roberta Lyons, parents of Kate Lyons, a graduate of Lower Lake High School are pleased to announce Kate has received her Doctor of Philosophy in linguistics from the Graduate College of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Get your pear pies and turnovers from California Women for Agriculture

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Lake County Chapter of California Women for Agriculture will be busy the Friday before the Pear Festival cooking up a huge batch of pear pies and pear turnovers under the direction of Pear Pie Baking Chair Andrea Adams.

Rodman Slough County Park to be closed Sept. 17 for restroom installation

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Rodman Slough County Park in North Lakeport will be closed Monday, Sept. 17, to allow for the preparation and installation of a new permanent restroom facility.
