LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeside Family Fun & Event Center, in collaboration with several Lake County youth groups, is committed to providing a safe, affordable and memorable New Year’s Eve for Lake County teens.

Saturday, Dec. 31, at 6 p.m. marks this year’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve All Nighter.

“Teens in Lake County don’t have a lot of options for safe and fun places to go,” said new owner Charley Richardson. “We really want to provide affordable options for our county’s youth, which is why we are hosting the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve All-Nighter.”

Charley and Kristi Richardson took ownership of the business, formerly known as Lakeside Lanes, last year.

Their primary focus is to provide a wholesome, fun and affordable place for families, teens and adults of all ages in Lake County and so the name changed to Lakeside Family Fun Center to reflect the new focus.

“As a mom with young children, I had a hard time finding a local place to have birthday parties, and a comfortable environment to have a fun evening’s entertainment with my family,” Kristi Richardson said.

Unlimited bowling, lazer tag and dodge ball are some of the entertainment included at the New Year’s party, not to mention karaoke, video games and raffle prizes.

Presale tickets – which must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance – are $15, which include $5 in free gaming tokens, or $20 at the door.

The Richardsons have greatly improved and expanded the activities available at the Fun Center.

While the bowling leagues are still popular, they also added Fun Town, a special place for children ages 8 and under, upgraded the arcade and prize store, made improvements to lazer tag, birthday party services, corporate party facilities and much more underway for 2012.

According to Charley Richardson, Lakeside Family Fun Center also has a focus on giving back to their community. This month they are raising funds for Room 4 Love, supporting families adopting disabled children, and have plans for more charity events in the coming year.
