NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – State Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, announced this week his package of new laws taking effect Jan. 1 will help Californians in important ways including protecting them from wildfires and floods, extending disaster insurance coverage, improving schools and guaranteeing access to drinking water.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The "Season of Sparkle,” sponsored by the Konocti Lioness Club, was held Saturday, Dec. 8, at Boatique winery with 130 guests in attendance.

Mike McGuire, chair of the Senate Committee on Governance and Finance and Assemblywoman Autumn Burke, chair of the Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation, announced plans to work together and implement the recent United States Supreme Court decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc.

SACRAMENTO – California Attorney General Becerra has joined a bipartisan multistate coalition of 43 attorneys general in a letter urging the prioritization of updates to the Social Security Administration’s electronic databases and verification methods, so that institutions can instantly check for and flag synthetic identity theft.
