MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Organizers of the third annual Senior Summit set later this month say there are still some seats available but they encourage community member to register as soon as possible.
LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Registrar of Voters Office next week will conduct a logic and accuracy test for the ballot tabulation computer and software to be used for the May 7 Lakeport Fire Protection District Special Election.
LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – At the March meeting of the Sons in Retirement Branch 168 Executive Committee the discussion revolved around how SIRs could expand into other areas in order to attract more members.
The areas that were under discussion included bowling, cards, travel, picnic, parades, a monthly night out, participating in the pear festival, and the monthly luncheon which takes place at the Riviera Hills Restaurant & Lounge at noon on the second Friday of the month.
On March 20 the “Night on the town” was held at the “YARD” restaurant in Lakeport. All had a good time getting to know each other in a relaxed environment.
The next “Night on the Town” will be held on Thursday, April 18, at O’Meara Bros in Lakeport. Wine and beer service begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner orders start at 6 p.m.
Members are encouraged to bring their wives or significant others.
