LAKEPORT, Calif. – The fifth annual Celebrity Who’s Who Lip Sync Revue comes to the stage at Soper Reese Theatre for three performances the weekend of April 12 and 13.

Two performances will take place on Saturday, April 12, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., plus a matinée at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.

The Lake County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled at the response to the lip sync show since its inception in 2010.

Program directors are Diana Schmidt and Sarah Dutra, with Schmidt also performing as choreographer for several of the acts. Dutra also is a choreographer, spending many hours each week with several acts and making costumes as well.

Makeup is being done by volunteers Lyle Colburn of Your One Stop Party Shop and Janice Hornby of Skin Fitness. Hair styling is by Cindy Strong and others from the Salon at High Street Village.

The 2014 show has more than 75 people in 19 different acts. It will be difficult for those in the audience to not recognize a friend, neighbor or colleague in the performances.

The show's theme this year is “Anything Goes,” featuring songs from all eras, from “Zoot Suit Riot” to “What Does the Fox Say?” and everything in between.

Celebrities back by popular demand are John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Cher, Willy Nelson, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Nancy Sinatra, Peggy Lee and many more.

There is a new emcee this year, Jennifer Strong, who as many may recall ousted Tom Lincoln last year.

Classic cars will again provide escort for the “stars” as they arrive to walk the red carpet. Be sure to be at the theater early to watch all these great personalities as they arrive for their performances.

Two years ago, the “People’s Favorite Act” perpetual award was instituted. The act that receives the most votes is presented with a souvenir trophy and is listed on the perpetual trophy that they get to display in their office. Everyone is urged to come, enjoy the show and to vote for your favorite act. Voted Favorite Act of 2013 was, “The Werewolves of London/Thriller.”
