The California State Water Resources Control Board will use $4.4 million of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant to fund projects in seven counties around the state. EPA’s Nonpoint Source Program grant assists the State Board in implementing programs to address pollution caused by runoff moving over the ground, known as nonpoint source pollution.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Income eligible renters who have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19 and have past due rent, or landlords who have experienced a loss in income because of unpaid rent, may be eligible to get financial assistance now through the state of California COVID-19 Rent Relief program, also known as Housing Is Key.

With the 2021 California wildfire season only months away, legislation by Assemblymember Marc Levine (D – Marin County) to authorize a governor or local government to declare a state of emergency due to a public safety power shutoff was unanimously approved by the Assembly Emergency Management Committee last week.
