LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Clear Lake Trowel and Trellis Garden Club would like to thank Mike Stevenson of Lakeport for his donation of redwood lumber.
The lumber will be crafted by Jerry Shaul, a member of the CLTTGC, into four planter boxes for the Ely Stage Stop and County Museum.
The CLTTGC is partnering with the museum and Greg Dills to provide landscaping for our newest museum site. The planter boxes are phase one in the proposed landscaping plan.
Future plans include planting California native plants and wildflowers and plants that "grandmother" might have planted outside the original Ely Stage Stop.
This project meets the club's goals perfectly: Promoting civic beautification, creating and promoting interest in amateur gardening, plant and bird life, as well as, helping the public and fellow club members with the knowledge of gardening.
For more information about the CLTTGC see www.clttgc.org .
The club meets at noon on the third Tuesday of the month, except July and August, at the Scotts Valley Women's Club House, 2298 Hendricks Road, Lakeport.
The June meeting is a potluck.
Members, guests, and all interested people are most welcome. President Helen Turley, 707-263-1721, invites interested gardeners to join us.
Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club is a member of Mendo-Lake District, California Garden Club Inc., Pacific Region and National Garden Clubs Inc.
