LAKE COUNTY – This coming Saturday, May 29, marks the first in a series of monthly special events hosted by Lake County Farmers’ Finest at each of their two markets this year.

“This coming farmers’ market at Steele Wines will feature eggs, because that is what we have in abundance right now,” explained Cornelia Sieber-Davis, Lake County Farmers’ Finest market manager. “We hope these special events will highlight the benefits of eating fresh and buying Lake County grown.”

The eggstravaganza will feature an eggs-tra special “Spin to Win” wheel, an egg-cellent free raffle for an eggs-traordinary market basket, plus other eggs-tremely great fun stuff.

In June the special event will focus on grilling with vegetables, an opportunity for those grill masters among us to use their creativity and turn a vegetable into a delicious main event at the next family dinner.

“I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Wednesday, June 2nd is the season opening for our new market at Library Park”, and we hope to see a great turn out to show support for our farmers,” added Sieber-Davis, “the selection increases and varies as the season progresses, so plan on stopping by every week for the freshest, most flavorable food in town!”

Both the new Wednesday Evening Market at Library Park, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the Saturday Morning Market at Steele Wines, 8:30 a.m. to noon, run through the end of October, rain or shine.
