KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – It’s not too late to reserve your place for the annual Spring Dinner to benefit the Lake County Land Trust on Monday, May 19, at the Saw Shop Gallery Bistro, 3825 Main St. in Kelseyville.

Social hour will start at 6 p.m. and a four course dinner will be served with wine at 7 p.m. David Neft has graciously volunteered to entertain during the social hour.

Services, food, and wine are donated by the Saw Shop Gallery Bistro with the proceeds going towards the work of the Land Trust.

Many thanks to Marie Beery, owner, for this generous donation. Local businessman, Dennis Darling, of Foods Etc. is also sponsoring the event as well as LakeCo News.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Saw Shop at 707-278-0129. Payment is taken the evening of the event. Tickets are $70 per person.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The regular meeting of the Clearlake Planning Commission scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, has been canceled.

The commission is next scheduled to meet Tuesday, June 3, in the council chambers at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Clear Lake Riviera Community Association is seeking interested resident members to sit on various committees and perform volunteer activities in the community beginning in July.

Committees may include, but not be limited to, the member relations, finance (audit), nomination, architectural control and planning committee, community projects and social.

Committee members are appointed by and work at the pleasure of the board of directors.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Jones and Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel will sponsor a free workshop on advance planning of final arrangements on Tuesday, June 3.

It will take place at 2 p.m. at Highlands Senior Center, 3245 Bowers Ave. in Clearlake.

Discover four simple steps to planning your final arrangements.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to receive a free personal planning guide.

There will be refreshments, conversation and helpful advice.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The monthly luncheon meeting of the Lake County Republican Women, Federated met Wednesday, May 14.

The meeting featured three guest speakers.

Speakers included Chief Republican Whip Dan Logue, who is running for California's Third Congressional District; Rich Ford, candidate for Lake County assessor-recorder; and Charlie Schaupp, candidate for Fourth Assembly District.

Be sure to vote June 3 and have your voice heard.

The group's next meeting is Wednesday, June 9.

FINLEY, Calif. – Big Valley Grange will host a yard sale on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1.

The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m at 1510 Big Valley Road in Finley.

Money raised will be awarded to a Lake County high school senior to assist their pursuit of a college education.
