KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Presbyterian Women of Kelseyville's Presbyterian Church will host its rummage sale at the church on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31.

New hours on Friday will be from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.  

Hot dogs, chili and popcorn will be for sale for both lunch and dinner on Friday, and for lunch on Saturday.

The bag sale, always a favorite, will be held all day Saturday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.  

Granny's Attic items are not included in the bag sale.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Community members are invited to join the newly formed Lake County 29ers Cribbage Club.

The group meets every Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. – or later if there is a tournament – in the meeting room at the Lakeport McDonald's, 1400 Todd Road.

The Lake County 29ers Cribbage Club is affiliated with national and international clubs, including the American Cribbage Congress, and plans to develop a team to play in tournaments around the state.

Members also are starting a group to teach cribbage in local grade schools, as the game can help children develop math skills.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – In cooperation with Second Sunday Cinema, natural beekeeper Christine Schreier will share her knowledge and experience in keeping bees naturally.

This fascinating introduction to nonmechanistic beekeeping will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Ancient Lake Gardens, 8993 Soda Bay Road in Kelseyville.

Not all beehives must be square boxes. Lucky bees can enjoy healthy, normal lives.

Later that evening, Second Sunday Cinema will present “Queen of the Sun” at 5:45 p.m. at Clearlake United Methodist Church, 14521 Pearl Ave., Clearlake.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Flipper the Clown, also known as Phil Mathewson, and the April Fool Players will perform “Quack Quack” a family-friendly comedy routine at Lakeport Library on Wednesday, April 4.

The free show starts at 6 p.m. at the library, located at 1425 N. High St., Lakeport.

All ages are welcome, and as with all library events, no library card is needed to attend.

CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – A rummage sale April 14-15 will support the efforts of a local animal rescue organization.

Pets Have Hearts 2 will hold the sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fancy Paws Pet Grooming & Spa, 13301 E. Highway 20, Clearlake Oaks.

Pets Have Hearts 2 is a nonprofit animal rescue group that helps find missing or lost pets, and fosters or rehomes abused animals in unfortunate situations.

They also assist with raising money to spay, neuter and provide medical treatment for pets, and to raise awareness of backyard breeding.

The group also helps foster homes feed and care for homeless pets, including pocket pets and reptiles.

Pets Have Hearts 2 is in need of donations for the rummage sale.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County Live! returns to the Soper-Reese Community Theatre in downtown Lakeport on Sunday, March 25.

The show begins at 6 p.m. and is broadcast live on Lake County Community Radio KPFZ 88.1 FM and streamed on the Web as well.
 
This third program for LCL! features the musical group “Uncorked” performing music influenced by Ireland and bluegrass.

Group members are Dennis Hadley, Andi Skelton, Don Coffin, Eleanor Cook and Dan Harris.  
 
Andy Rossoff, will perform on the keyboard. “I grew up on rock’n’roll in the 60s and 70s but my tastes and song list cross many genres, from pop and soul ballads to blues to folk to an occasional country tune,” he said.
 
Returning silliness includes the Dogs of Clear Lake, the Ladies of the Lake and a word from the American Society of Allied Procrastinators, plus some interesting surprises.
 
For the first time, ticket price will be $5.

Organizers request that attendees be seated by 5:45 p.m. Tickets are available at the theater box office, 275 S. Main, on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or at the Travel Center, 1265 S. Main, both in Lakeport.
