KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – All family and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Carole Givich, who passed on October 27, 2012, and David Givich, who passed on June 10, 2013, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29.

The event will be held at Clear Lake State Park, 5300 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville.

This will be a potluck picnic per Carole's last wish.

Marvel Santos passed away peacefully June 14, 2013, at her home in Kelseyville, Calif.

She was born in Hopland, Calif., in 1930. She was proud to have been a Lake County resident for 83 years.

Marvel is survived by her daughter, K-Sue Connolly and her husband Bob of Foresthill, Calif.; son, Cliff Santos and his wife Chris of Vacaville, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Marvel was preceded in death by her first husband Tom Harris, her second husband Frank Santos and her son Ron Santos.

Marvel and Frank used to enjoy gold panning and camping in their RV.  She continued to nurture her beautiful garden until just weeks before her passing.

Marvel leaves behind a loving family and many friends who will miss her very much.

She live a “Marvelous” life.

Private services will be held.

Dorothy Mae Miller passed away June 3, 2013.

Dorothy was born Nov. 15, 1924 in Kansas City, Missourito Fred Lichtenstern and Hazel Simmons.

In her youth, Dorothy and her family moved to the West, moving to many different places for her father's employment.

She graduated from Lincoln High, San Francisco in 1942 and went on to work for Bethlehem Steele during WWII.  

Dorothy was a loving mother to five children, Carol, Joy, Richard, Norma and Scott. She lived in Vallejo for 50 years where she enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing and spending summers on the water and beaches of Clearlake, Calif.

She always had a love of traveling with close family and friends whenever she had the chance. Salmon fishing in Ft. Bragg and staying the summers at Casper Beach was a favorite pastime.

Dorothy moved to Lower Lake in 1999. She became an active member of the Lower Lake Community United Methodist Church and volunteered in the church office distributing to needy families  for the food closet and later the church thrift shop with her daughter Joy.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Miller; children, Richard (Ric) Gunderson, Norma Miller and Joy Scarrott; her grandchildren, Michael and Nichole; great-grandson, James Charles Scarrott; her brother, Henry Lichtenstern; and her former husband, Richard Gunderson.   

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Carol (Steve) Ellis, son Scott (Cathy) Miller, sisters Janice Aday of Folsom and Jean Lord of Orangeville. She also has 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dorothy's family wishes to thank her caregiver Tammy and Lake Co. Hospice.

Services celebrating Dorothy's life will be held Friday, June 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Lower Lake United Methodist Church.

Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to Lower Lake Methodist Church or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Cathie Woods Coulter, born Sept. 6, 1923, in Glasgow, Scotland left us June 17, 2013, to join her sister Annie and her brother Francie in heaven.

She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Frances (Richard) Latham; sons, Angus and Peter Coulter; grandchildren, Rick Latham, Luke and Laurie Wade and Layla Coulter; nieces, Annette (Bill) Baillie, Frances (Phil) Farrell; nephew, Danny (Betty) McFadyen; along with her family in Scotland, May, Rosemary, Frank, Matthew and June in England, and special friends Karen and Lannie Blansett of Paso Robles, Calif.

She was loved by everyone she met and will be missed by all.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no funeral service. Instead a memorial fund will be set up in her name at the Lakeport Senior Center, 527 Konocti Ave., Lakeport, CA 95453, to assist needy seniors and for Meals on Wheels.

She loved her time with friends at the Lakeport Senior Center.

Retired Air Force Maj. Bernard Allen Wilde, 81, of Kelseyville, Calif., succumbed to cancer at home surrounded by family on June 13, 2013.

Bernie is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, two children, Vicki Lynn and Mark Allen as well as five grandchildren, two step-daughters and one step-grandson.

His wit will be missed.
