KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Clyde Allen Hough of Kelseyville entered into rest April 20, 2014 at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Chris Hough. Loving father of Cynthia, Leslie and Eric; grandfather to Anthony, Nikki, Tamra and Erica. He also is survived by step-daughter, Heidi, and her children; and three great-grandchildren.
Allen grew up in Richmond, Calif., the only child of Emerson (Jack) and Louise Hough.
He worked for PG&E for 30 years as a welder. The last 10 years with PG&E he was in management at Diablo Nuclear Power plant.
When he retired he moved to Kelseyville, reminiscent of his fishing times with his father.
Allen was a man of integrity and wisdom. He loved his family and friends especially his best friend, Don. He enjoyed traveling, boating, exploring the back roads of Lake County and dancing. He had a great sense of humor and could tell the tallest tales to friends with a straight face.
He loved trying new adventures which included white water rafting, once pulling the guide, a priest and friend out of the boat with him as they went through the Idaho staircase rapids.
He could do anything with his hands, woodworks, building boat models and designing and rebuilding things.
Per Allen's request, there will be no memorial service.
A requiem Mass will be held for him in July at ECCO Church Camp in Oakhurst and his ashes will be dispersed in one of his favorite places, the ocean.
He will be greatly missed.
The family prefers any donations be made to Animal Rescue, SPCA, Clearlake, 8025 Highway 29, Kelseyville, CA 95451, telephone 707-995-2273.
