LAKEPORT, Calif. – A loving Grandma, Mom, wife and a true friend to all who knew her, Jennifer Lynne Fletcher, 64, of Lakeport passed away on Sept. 8, 2019, after losing her courageous fight with cancer.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1954, to Melvin and Betty Lilly.

Jennifer married the love of her life, Craig Douglas Fletcher, on March 26, 1977, in California City, where they lived for 16 years. The couple moved to Lake County in 1987.

Jennifer worked for the California State Parks for 25 years. It was a job she truly enjoyed, though she had many other jobs. Her last one was as an in-home health care worker.

She also had many hobbies – baking, gardening and spending time with her grandkids. She loved the outdoors and trips to the coast and the redwood.

She was the oldest of four siblings. She is leaving behind her husband, Craig, and her brothers, Chris Charles Lilly and John Casey Lilly, and her sister, Dolly Elizabeth Escobar.

Jennifer had two children, David Allen Fletcher and Jamie Suzanne Roshaven, and son-in-law Dag Stuart Roshaven.

Jennifer was very proud to have four grandchildren: Amanda Carly and Craig Joseph, from her son David, and Aidan Craig and Bree Lynne, from her daughter Jamie.

A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held Oct. 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Lakeport Elks Lodge, 3775 Lakeshore Blvd.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – It is with great sadness that the Lake County Sheriff’s Office announces the death of Correctional Officer Ronnie “Ron” Daniel Warren.

He was found unresponsive by his adult son during the early morning hours of Sept. 19, 2019, at his residence in Lake County.

Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and he was regrettably pronounced deceased by deputy sheriffs on scene.

Officer Warren was 55 years of age.

Officer Warren was born in Madera, California. He spent the majority of his adolescence in Madera County, California, and graduated from Madera High School.

Warren was employed in the field of private security and worked his way to operations manager before relocating to Lake County in 1991.

He was hired by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as a correctional officer on Sept. 9, 1991. He took an approved leave of absence in October of 2003 to pursue a brief career with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation before returning to the sheriff’s office in January of 2004.

During Officer Warren’s 28-year career with the sheriff’s office, he was continually referred to by supervisors as a hard worker, firm but fair and continually exceeding performance standards. Supervisors praised Officer Warren for treating the inmates in which he supervised with dignity, compassion and respect.

Officer Warren worked in many different assignments, some of which included classification officer, transportation officer, sheriff’s parole program manager and officer in charge in the absence of a supervisor. His most recent assignment was inmate services officer at the Alternative Work Program Building in Lakeport.

He was well respected amongst his peers, supervisors and friends. He was described as keeping his private life to himself, but those close to him described him as a genuinely kind person.

Officer Warren is survived by his beloved adult sons, Tyler and Trevor.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Denise was born April 7, 1986, at Enloe Hospital in Chico, California, to Troy Jonathan Fred and Marjorie A. Wilson.

She was raised by her grandparents, Dell and Phyllis Wilson, while her mother went to school and work.

Denise is survived by her father, Troy (Priscilla) Fred of Elk Creek, California; her mother, Marjorie (William) Wilson of Elk Creek; daughter, Maryann of Montana; grandparents, Richard and JoJo Gomez and Marston John Sr.; siblings, Lyle, Valorie, Jen and Katie; aunts, Mary (Ron) Kirk, Candace (Chris) Nash, Trina Gomez, Kim Mitchell and Lisa Fred; uncles, Leo and Doyle Fred; Godparents Alwood and Lysa Smith; and many cousins who she considered brothers and sisters.

Denise was a San Francisco Giants and 49er’s fan. She loved to eat and to have family dinners and dance with her great grandfather Wallace’s outfit. She traveled to many places, she was Nomlacki-Pomo and a tribal member of Big Valley.

Traditional Native American visitation will start at Big Valley Gymnasium on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. with a graveside funeral service to be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Kevin Eliott Taffi, age 47, passed away on Sept. 12, 2019, after putting up a hard fight with cancer, surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 12, 1972, to Eliott and Margaret in San Francisco, California.

He spent his youth years growing up in Geyserville and moved to Lakeport, California, in his teens.

He leaves behind his best friend and love, Rosie; sons, Nathaniel and step-son Luke; daughters, Julianna and Destiny: and our fur babies, Mamas and Hazel Grace.

He was blessed with a sister, Theresa Reynolds; nephew, Michael; brother, Brian; nephew, Shane (Courtney); sister, Tami Voris and niece, Kiley. OK, so that’s the Taffi side since I have eight siblings and 38 nephews and nieces and many other extended family and friends that I would love to list by name, just know that he loved all of you and we are truly blessed to have all of YOU. YOU know who you are and you know what’s up.

Kevin was a proud, quiet, honest, loyal, hardworking, passionate genuinely good man. He loved and lived for his family, old vehicles, fishing, disc golf, exploring new places looking for Bigfoot, of course and trying new things. He proudly provided for his family as a tile setter for 22 years, working for Tortorica Tile.

Thank you my love for a wonderful fun crazy life. The good, the bad and the ugly. Even if I knew then what I know now, and the end would still be the same, I would still choose us. I miss everything about you, I miss US! I know how much you loved us and nothing else matters. I love you Kevin Eliott Taffi, no regrets other than thinking we had more time.

I also would like to thank my family for respecting his wishes to respect his privacy, his sister for being strong for all of us and all of the beautiful angels at the Martin O’Neal cancer center, especially his doctors, Alaina Fields and Ethan Schram. God Bless us all and may his loving memory bring comfort and peace.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Theresa Bray-Rosasco was a very loving, caring mother, grandmother, partner and friend to many.

She will be deeply missed by all she met along the way. Gone to soon, but rejoice in the times we had with her. Remember the love she had, her happiness, her smile and her power. She
was an amazing woman and will forever hold a place in our hearts.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – On Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, Barbara Helen Miller passed away at the age of 87.

She is the loving mother of Charlie (Jean), John (Karen), and Wendy (Chris); grandmother of Brandon and James; and is also survived by her brother, Jack.

Barbara was born on June 27, 1932, in San Diego, California, to John and Winifred Sweeney.

As a Lake County resident since 1974, she was heavily involved in the community. Barbara volunteered at the Red Cross, as well as being an active member of the following organizations: Lakeport Women’s Civic Club, Konocti Lioness Club, Angelites (singing/dancing group) and the Red Hat Society.

Barbara did everything she wanted to do in her life. She enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family. She loved to travel, seeing most of the United States and Europe. Barbara will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 5340 Third St., at 11 a.m.
