Richard C. Hudgins passed away late on the morning of Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at his home in Lakeport, Calif.

He was surrounded by his loving wife, Norine Alma Mahood, his children, Wendy (David) Floyd of Rohnert Park, Kelly Hudgins of Lakeport, Amy (Rich) Guluarte of Lakeport; his grandchildren, Justin Guluarte, Jelissa (Ryan) Strugnell, Nick Bennett, Alisa Floyd, Rebecca Floyd and great-grandson, Gavin Strugnell.

Rick later achieved a lifelong dream of owning a gunsmith and sales business.

Because of Rick’s contagious smile and happy demeanor, “Rich’s Guns” became well known as one of the friendliest gun shops in Northern California.

Although his accomplishments were many, Rick remained fully committed to being a loving husband, devoted father, role model, patriot, philosopher, craftsman, giver, jokester and genuine friend.

If you knew Rick, your life was better for it … If he knew you, you were family.
