LAKEPORT, Calif. – A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 10, for Edward “Big Ed” Peters.

The event will take place beginning at 1 p.m. at Highland Springs in Lakeport.

This will be a potluck-style lunch. Please bring a dish or appetizer and your stories to share.

All friends and family are welcome.

James ‘Randy’ Graham
9/10/42 - 5/26/2017

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Randy was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. to James E. and Betty Jenson Graham.

The family moved to Hermosa Beach, Ca., in 1948 and after graduating from Mira Costa High, Randy joined the National Guard for 10 years.

In 1970 he moved to Lake County and had many jobs during his career; Bent Fir for two years, Lake County Sheriff’s Department for a few years, police officer with Lakeport Police Department for seven years and investigator for the Social Services Department, retiring after 31 years in law enforcement.

He was appointed by the governor of California as director of the Lake County Fairgrounds for eight years.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, James E. Graham; stepmother, Elsie; and great-nephew, Ryder Beatty.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Mikki; sons, David (Danessa) and Andrew (Terra); grandsons, Parker, Kaden and Sawyer; stepgrandchildren, Erick, Quin, Nathan, Justin, Kylie and Kevin; brother, Jon (Mary); aunt, Hazel Baxter; brothers-in-law, Dan, Patrick (Robin) and Larry; sisters-in-law, Melissa (Chuck) and Mary (Tim); and 18 nieces and nephews.

Randy enjoyed playing beach volleyball in Southern California and basketball with his buddies in Lakeport.

Since retirement Randy and Mikki spent a few months each winter in Arizona where they met became close friends with couples from all over the U.S. and Canada.

Donations in Randy’s memory can be made to the Lakeport Fire Department or any law enforcement agency in Lake County.

A celebration of life will be held at Fritch Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 401 Martin St. in Lakeport, on Saturday, June 24, at 1 p.m.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Thomas Davies, born March 2, 1942, in Pittsburg, Penn., passed away after a long battle with cancer on May 23, 2017.

Tom leaves behind his wife, Betty; his family, Kirk, Marie and Ashley Macdonald, and Steve, Merlah, Cloud and Star Hamm; his former wife Elvira; and all his good friends at “The Riv” for the last 30 years.

In 1960 after graduating from high school, Tom joined the U.S. Army. He was sent to England and then Vietnam. He was wounded in Vietnam and was later honorably discharged from the Army. 

His military career didn’t end there. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and retired after 24 years of service.

He traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia, but his favorite duty station was Hawaii which will be his final resting place at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at “Punchbowl.”

​He will be greatly missed and we will miss his time being “Gramps.”
