Philip 'McConky' Chester McCloud
June 9, 1940 - April 5, 2021

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Phil was a Tribal Elder of Big Valley Rancheria.

He is predeceased by his parents, Emil and Ramona McCloud; the love of his life, Zelda; children, Phillip Jr. and DeeAnna.

He is survived by his siblings, Jojo, Don, Buc and Piggy; children, Chester Roger McCloud and Philip Chico Gomez; mother, Dolly, Boog, Bunna, Bones, Nuper, Tonja, Natalie (Johnny Boy) and Bud; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who all loved him very much.

Traditional visitation will be held at 600 Yellow Hammer Lane in Lakeport, with graveside services at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lakeport.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Betty Marshall went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2021, at the young age of 90.

Betty (Mom) loved reading her Bible and singing at church. She also enjoyed going to the senior center for exercising, along with embroidering and crocheting.

She enjoyed time with family, friends and always with a smile. She was a loving caring person always thinking of others. To know her was to love her.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband and our wonderful dad, Dean Marshall.

Mom (Nana) is survived by her daughter, Sandra Marshall Jenkins (John); son, Rick Marshall (Paula); grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Mylissa, Angela, Melissa and Beau; and 12 great-grandchildren, Sierra, Dante, Rocco, Cheyanne, Tabor, Trinitty, Ralphy, Brody, Rayah, Daniel, Mia and Maritza; and many nieces and nephews and loving friends.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – On Monday, March 15, 2021, Jason Robert Laveglia, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 46.

Jason was born on April 17, 1974, in Ames, Iowa, to James and Jeanne Hall Laveglia.

After his service in the United States Navy, Jason remained in California where he met his future wife, Crissy, in San Diego.

Jason was an avid golfer, had a passion for deep sea fishing, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

Jason is survived by his wife and partner of 17 years, Crissy; his daughters, Bryanna and Lily; his parents, Dr. James Laveglia (Patricia) and Jeanne Laveglia (Frank); his sisters, Jennifer (Jeff) and Julie (Bryon); and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Andrew Lydale Azbill
March 23, 1968 – March 27, 2021

Andrew went home to be with the Lord in Covelo, California, at the young age of 53.

He loved to tease, joke, and enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing and camping.

Andrew is survived by his sons, Nick and Cameron Azbill; grandson, Jaiden Azbill; and many family members and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Delmar and Janice Azbill.

He was loved and will be dearly missed. Live on Rock Star Andy!

A wake will be held in Covelo starting on Friday, April 2, with funeral service on Saturday, April 3.

Dorothy was born to Bill and Elizabeth Henderson on Aug. 11. 1930.

She lived in the Hayward, California, area for 50 years. She became a senior caregiver for many years. Her clients adored her because of her kindness.

In 1988 she moved to Lake County, California, where she continued to be a caregiver for seniors, She gave of herself with all she had to our senior community.

My mother never met a stranger she would strike up a conversation with everybody.

She loved playing bingo and walking her dogs. She was an animal lover and would rescue many animals she came in contact with in her travels.

In 2014 she moved to Virginia to be cared for by her daughter Brenda Jordan and on March 24, 2021, she got her ANGEL wings.

She is survived by her four children, Donna Cummins, Brenda Jordan, John Tapia and Billy Hulse. She has 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She will be forever in our hearts.

Donations can be made to our local animal shelter.

Jesse Russell Petray
Nov. 6, 1995 - March 22, 2021

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – A bright light was taken from this world far too soon.

Jesse spent his life enjoying every day of it. Despite a long battle with epilepsy, he always had a sunny and carefree disposition. He was not one to let life or his illness get him down.

Jesse was fiercely loyal to those he loved and will be missed dearly.

Jesse was greeted at Heaven's gate by his mother, Elaine Werre, and his best friend and beloved dog, Joey.

Jesse leaves behind many loved ones, including his father R. "Butch" Petray, four brothers and one sister.

A celebration of life will be held for Jesse and his mother Elaine on April 2 at 2 p.m. at Highland Springs Recreation Area, Lakeport.
