LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Did you know seven out of 10 Lake County foster youth are sent out of county for care?
Lake County needs resource parents to keep kids in their hometowns.
For one-day Child Welfare Services, Probation, Redwood Community Services and EA Family Services, are teaming up to provide a one-stop event that will take place on May 10.
Walk-ins welcome between 3 to 7 p.m., at the Lake County Child Welfare Services building, located at 926 S. Forbes St., Lakeport.
The one-stop will provide information on resource parenting, different services provided by each agency, and an opportunity to get a jump start into becoming a resource parent through help with applications and screening.
