The demographic page at the Lake County Web site estimates the 2005 population to be 65,147 people. Roughly the size of a small California city. But by my best guesstimate, Lake County has more world-class musicians layin' it down per capita than any California county. What follows is my assessment of some of the great players who live and work here.
When I walked in to the Joe Mazzola Showroom at Konocti Harbor Friday night Bill Noteman & The Rockets were already on stage, They were smack dab in the middle of “Poison In My Stew,” my favorite track from their latest CD, Cream Of The Crop.
Picture if you will, 13 year old T. Watts being told by his Mother, the following:
"Thurman, go down to Music City and buy me a record. Pick me out a good one."
